Arctictern actively uses AUTOSAR in sophisticated software development that pursues the objective of creating and establishing an open and standardized system architecture for automotive electronic control units (ECUs).
AUTOSAR (versions 3.x, 4.x) governed software development of smart, safe and secure vehicles focuses on standardization with the goal of reliability, scalability and maintainability by developing common specifications, architecture and methodology for dependable automotive systems. AUTOSAR compliant development is based on standard specifications (of a particular version). AUTOSAR standard BSW is highly configurable and reusable, hence is cost effective. Whereas Non-AUTOSAR based developments are based on legacy architecture, hardware specific and using proprietary tools, processes.
